Category Management
Organize exams and taxonomy with the category manager.
Feature Breakdown
Navigation Access
This module is accessed via the Categories link in the main sidebar. It serves as the foundational hierarchy for your system, allowing you to organize exams into logical groups like "Science," "Languages," or "Aptitude."
Status Statistics
The top ribbon provides an instant statistical overview of your taxonomy. It displays the Total Categories created, how many are currently Active (visible to students), and how many are Disabled or archived.
Add New Category
Clicking the green + Add Category button launches the creation wizard. This action triggers a modal overlay, allowing you to create new sections without navigating away from the list view.
Creation Wizard
A comprehensive form to define the category identity. You can input the Name, a descriptive Slug, and upload a vector Icon. Additionally, "Meta Text" fields allow you to add badges (e.g., "New", "Certification") that appear on the student dashboard.
Quick Disable / Safety
Toggle the status of a category directly from the list view. To prevent accidental data loss, a Confirmation Warning appears when disabling a category, ensuring you don't inadvertently hide active exams from students.
Edit & Update
Need to correct a typo or update an icon? Clicking the pencil icon opens the Edit Category modal. This form comes pre-filled with existing data, allowing for rapid modifications and immediate updates to the live site.
